Christmas in Santa Fe!
On a recent trip to Santa Fe we were intrigued by the many offerings of chilies, and the option to have things “Red, Green or Christmas” style. Well, we figured there was no better way to celebrate the holiday than with our OWN version of a Chile (with an E) Cheeseburger - Christmas Style! Red Chile sauce covers our handground patty along with Willamette Valley Cheese Company’s Jack Cheese, fire roasted Anaheim chiles and pico de gallo. 8 - make it a "basket" with fries for a buck more.

September Special
The NOM NOM Burger!
Why NOM NOM? Not all that descriptive after all...simple really: that is the sound you will be making when you eat it! We took Fontina Cheese and Bacon, then topped it with mixed greens tossed with Balsamic Vinaigrette, a slice of fresh tomato and drizzled the bun with Oregon's own Beaver Dijon Mustard. Nom nom, indeed! $9 - make it a "basket" with fries for a buck more.

August Special.
The Grown-Up Grilled Cheese!
Using our delicious, house-made bread, we melt Willamette Valley Cheese's Jack Cheese atop crispy strips of bacon. Then, we add our house-made pico de gallo sauce for this 'not your average grilled cheese' sandwich. Take the bacon off for a tasty vegetarian option! $6.50 - make it a basket with fries for a buck more.
And on tap, we have Southern Oregon Brewing's Gold Digger, fermented with a larger yeast, this crisp, lightly hopped beer finishes with a subtle citrus note.
We also have another FABULOUS brew from Gilgamesh! (If you haven't tried their beer yet, shame on you.) Right now we have their Pumphouse Copper, a light, crisp amber-style ale with mild citrus notes. It's hands down my favorite brew from them. $4 a glass / $8 a pitcher.

Burger of the Year
We're preparing for October, when we will be celebrating ONE YEAR OPEN (can you believe it? We can't!) And we want YOU to be a part of it. We want to showcase one of our fantastic special burgers that we've had this year - and you get to pick it! Loved the Hula? Thought the Delta Gamma Beta was killer? Couldn't get enough of the Little Italy? Head over to the sidebar and vote! It may just be our "Burger of the Year" in October.
And don't you worry - we'll be updating the poll in September to include September's special.
A description of THIS month's special to come soon - it doesn't involve a burger, but it is SO tasty!

Tap List.
We have two new brews on tap! From Lompoc Brewing, we have the ever popular C-Note! To call C-Note very hoppy would be an understatement. It's brewed with the seven "C" hops (Crystal, Cluster, Cascade, Chinook, Centennial, Columbus and Challenger) and pushes the bitterness limit to 100 International Bitterness Units.
And from Deschutes Brewing we have their summer seasonal, the Twighlight Ale! This is a lighter, yet full flavored ale with a delicious citrus overtone. (I think this one is a new server favorite - they can't stop talking about it!)
$4 a glass - $8 a pitcher.

Well, the Mamba is long gone (don't worry - it WILL be back!)
In the mean time, we have a brew from Cascade Lakes Brewing Company - their Blonde Bombshell! Brewed to be a light bodied, refreshing ale, Bombshell combines subtle malt and wheat flavors with a slight hoppy aroma. Nothing says summer like a tasty blonde ale, am I right?
Replacing the Stumptown Porter, we have Oakshire Brewing's Amber Ale! Brewed using three different types of hops, this amber is smooth and flavorful.
$4 a glass - $8 for a pitcher (which is about 2 1/2 glasses.)

We've had Giglamesh Brewing's Mamba on tap for over a week - I've been seriously slacking! This is a hopless brew with a light, yet slightly sweet, spicy body. Brewed with black tea and a hint of tangerine zest and rye, the aromatic flavor will please beer and wine lovers alike. It's AMAZING. $4 a glass - better get in and try one soon, because its been selling like crazy!

Wow, just - WOW.
First off, thank you to EVERYONE who voted for us this year. There are simply no words for how honored we are to have been chosen as Best New Restaurant - seriously. THANK YOU.
We'd also like to take a moment to give a big thanks to everyone who helped us make it this far: Steve, thank you for believing in our dream (and giving us the money to make it happen.) Mike, thank you for handling all that legal paperwork we pretend to understand. Jeff, thank you for slaving away all summer getting our remodel finished. And for working in the kitchen the first few months. And for being our go to handy-man. And for...everything! Mary Lou, thanks for being the best mom/mother-in-law/friend in the world. We could not have done this without you - you're amazing. Thank you to Sadie, for doing all the things we don't seem to have time for. Thank you to our families, for supporting us, for being our most loyal customers, and for being some of the most patient people in the world. This industry is a tough one and we are made stronger by your support. And thank you to our awesome customers - clearly, we wouldn't be here without you. Thank you for your patience in that first month when we were still figuring out what the heck we were doing. Thank you for telling your friends. Thank you for coming back again and again. Thank you, thank you, thank you!
This next year is going to be an exciting one - we're still working on that vegetarian patty, we've got some great new specials in mind, we're going to have outdoor seating once this rainy Oregon weather goes away and...well, you'll just have to wait and see!

Tap List.
Well, those kegs didn't last long! While we're sad to see Dead Guy and the Watershed go (mmmm, that Watershed IPA was delish.) we are SUPER excited for the next two beers on tap!
We could NOT BE HAPPIER that we finally have a fantastic brew from Gilgamesh Brewing on tap (guys - congrats on the back to back People's Choice wins!) This go round we have the Hopscotch Ale, a heavy Scottish Ale with a pleasantly dark, warm and malty body. An additional smattering of hops added during fermentation leaves a complementing floral aroma. Yummy!
Our other brew comes from our neighbors in Silverton, Seven Brides Brewing! Their Lil's Pils, a traditional bohemian pilsner, is light, crisp, and has a floral hoppiness that balances the complex malty taste of the all German barley.
Both brews are $4 a glass.
Do you have any suggestions for what we should have on tap next? Let us know!

Next up on tap, we have Southern Oregon Brewing's Pin-Up Porter (S.O.B. - clever, right?) We're lucky enough to even have a little back story on this tasty selection: the beer genius behind Deschutes Brewing's Black Butte Porter has since left Deschutes and joined the team at Southern Oregon Brewing to create this brew. We've had it once before, when they were just calling it the S.O.B. Porter - they've since given it a sassy name we love!
Easter Sunday.
We will be closed Sunday, April 4th so that our employees can spend the holiday with their families.
Thank you for your understanding - and guess what? We'll be open at 11 am on April 5th, our first official Monday open!

Have you tried Foursquare?
One of our awesome customers turned us onto the 'new' thing in internet social networking: Foursquare!
Here's a rundown of all the features Foursquare has from their website:
People use foursquare to "check-in", which is a way of telling us your whereabouts. When you check-in someplace, we'll tell your friends where they can find you and recommend places to go & things to do nearby. People check-in at all kind of places - cafes, bars, restaurants, parks, homes, offices.
You'll find that as your friends use foursquare to check-in, you'll start learning more about the places they frequent. Not only is it a great way to meet up with nearby friends, but you'll also start to learn about their favorite spots and the new places they discover.
Think of foursquare as an "urban mix tape." We'll help you make lists of your favorite things to do and let you share them with friends. Think beyond your standard review - we're looking less for "The food here is top notch" and more for "Go to Dumont Burger and try the most amazing Mac and Cheese ever." Foursquare will keep track of the things you've done, help you create To-Do lists and even suggest new experiences to seek out.
As you check-in around the city, you'll start finding tips that other users have left behind. After checking-in at a restaurant, it's not uncommon to unlock a tip suggesting the best thing on the menu. Checking-in at a bar will often offer advice on what your next stop should be. Every tip you create is discoverable by other users just by checking-in.
We all have our local hangouts and foursquare keeps tabs on who's the most loyal of all the regulars. If you've been to a place more than anyone else, you'll become "the mayor"... until someone else comes along and steals your title.
It may sound a little silly until you see the list of places that are offering freebies to our mayors - free coffees, free ice-cream, free hotel stays - it pays to be a foursquare loyalist and check-in whenever you go!
Sounds fun, right? Check it out for yourself and next time you're in for a burger, "check-in!"

Tap List
Replacing Lucky Labrador's Stumptown Porter, we brought back one of our favorite darks, 10 Barrel Brewing's Sinistor Black Ale! Brewed using a special German dehusked black malt that is free of astringency, giving the beer a rich black color without the traditional dark beer characteristics. Subtle hints of chocolate, a light body and smooth finish round out this tasty brew. Excited? We are.

Tap List.
Since we can't seem to not serve a Ninkasi, we've brought in their latest seasonal: ESB Renewale! This is our first ESB (Extra Special Bitter) we've had on tap here at WBC and we can't wait to give it a try! [[Unfortunately, it's so new that I can't find ANY sort of description for it online - but it's from Ninkasi, so how bad could it be?]]
It's on tap now, but I'm sure it's going to go fast!

March Special.
The Inferno!
We are setting March on fire! We grill house-made buffalo sauce and spicy Tabasco directly onto the burger. Then we top it with house-made horseradish sauce, creamy jack cheese, fresh jalapenos, lettuce and tomato. You better ask for a big glass of water when you're done to douse the flames! $8.50 - make it a basket for $1 more.
Note: Our monthly specials feature locally grown or produced ingredients and sometimes quantities are limited. Get 'em while they are available!
Also this month, we are offering a very special deal to all you Costco members out there - as this month's Restaurant of the Month, we are offering $2 off any order over $10. All you have to do is show your Costco Membership card to your server when you pay your tab!

We finally have a hefeweizen!
ETA: Lucky Labrador's Stumptown Porter is finally on tap - brewed using abundant caramel malts and a little roasted barley give this dark ale its sweet flavorful finish. Delish!
Coming from our neighbors up north at Leavenworth Biers, the Whistling Pig Hefeweizen is a fruity, refreshing unfiltered wheat bier. It's classically cloudy appearance is characteristic of some of the best German hefeweizens. We're glad to finally have a hefeweizen on our beer list!

Tap List.
Our AWESOME server Dustin never disappoints with his beer selection - this time is no different!
To replace Rogue Brewing's Chocolate Stout, we have Lucky Labrador's Stumptown Porter. Brewed using abundant caramel malts and a little roasted barley give this dark ale its sweet flavorful finish. Delish!
And to replace Ninkasi's Total Domination, we have another Ninkasi creation (can you tell we love Ninkasi here?) Their Believer Double Red is a rich deep red with roasted malt and caramel notes, balanced by plentiful hops. The Believer encompasses everything that is great about Northwest beer - the Total Domination didn't last long, so this one is already on tap!
If you ever have any beer suggestions, please let us know! Email me at info@willametteburger.com. We'll do everything in our power to make your suggestions happen!

Nothing says 'I love you' like a BURGER.
This Valentine's Day, bring your favorite person down for a burger and tots! We are open 11-8(or later if need be.) We aren't taking reservations, but we do have CALL AHEAD seating - call when you are on your way to put your name on the list and get a table even faster! And if 'dining in' isn't for you this Sunday, call in an order to-go and have a picnic at home!
Remember, Valentine's Day isn't just for you lovebirds out there - I like to think of it as a day to celebrate ALL the people in your life that you love. And buy them some tots :]

Tap List.
Following Southern Oregon Brewing's Woodshed Red (which went surprisingly fast!) we are bringing in Rogue Brewing's Chocolate Stout! This brew's mellow flavor of oats, chocolate malts and real chocolate are balanced perfectly with the right amount of hops for a bitter-sweet finish. It pairs great with beef and desserts (which is right up our alley!)
The C-Note has stuck around much longer this time, but we're getting close to bringing on Ninkasi Brewing's Total Domination, a true Northwest style IPA, with citrus notes, a floral and balanced flavor and crafted from regional ingredients.
And as always...please let us know if you have any suggestions! We are always looking for recommendations on what to bring in next.

Size really does matter (to us.)
There is no such thing as a burger that is too big. At least not to us. We like to think that our burgers require an attack strategy (mine? i cut it into fours, then devour.) The more goodies we can pile on top, the better. And we realize that in doing this, our burgers might look smaller, because they aren't very wide. But when you get down to brass tacks, we know we tower over most of our competition.
Our patties start out at 6 oz (cooked they are just under 6 oz.) Local industry standard is 4 oz (on the left.)
Our menu is ever changing - we are constantly tweaking things to make it better. If you have any suggestions, let us know! We want to make you the perfect burger, every time.

Next Up.
Replacing the always popular Lompoc C-Note, we have another brew from Ninkasi! Total Domination is a true Northwest style IPA, with citrus notes, a floral and balanced flavor and crafted from regional ingredients.
Replacing the deliciously dark Sinister Black, we have Southern Oregon Brewing's Woodshed Red. A deep mahogany color, this beer has a toasty aroma with a slight toffee scent. Brewed with a nutty caramel flavor and some floral overtones, this beer has a smooth and full finish.
As of right now, we still have the Sinistor and C-Note on tap, but come and get a pint soon - they are going fast!

January Special.
The Coney Dog!
A ten-inch Zenner's all-beef coney dog on one of our hand-made, freshly baked buns, topped with out house-made all-beef (NO BEANS!) chili, chopped onion and yellow mustard. Oh yes, it's good. REAL good. $5.50
(Make it a asket for a buck more)
And for the kids (or for you non-chili lovers out there) you can get a plain Coney Dog for $4.
As always, you can customize your Coney any way you would like - just ask your server about any additional cost.
NOTE: Our monthly specials feature locally grown or produced ingredients and sometimes quantities are limited. Get 'em while they are available!
Peace, Love and CONEY DOGS!
